What to do
- Appeals against their decisions usually go to the Local Government Appeals Board (Samorządowe Kolegium Odwoławcze). You usually have 14 days from delivery, and you send the appeal through the centre.
- Tell them right away if your income or household changes.
- Find the deadline. Look for “termin”, “do dnia”, “od dnia doręczenia”.
- Write the reference number from the letter on everything you send back, and keep copies.
- If you disagree with a decision, object in writing before the deadline (“odwołanie”, “zażalenie”, “sprzeciw”, “skarga”, “reklamacja”). See the template.
