- Object to the decision (omprövning) — Use this if you think the decision is wrong. Many Swedish offices let you ask for a new review (omprövning) or appeal (överklagande) online with BankID. Send it before the deadline and write which decision you mean.
- Ask for more time (anstånd) — Use this if you can’t make the deadline. Send it before the deadline ends.
- Ask to pay in parts (avbetalningsplan) — Use this if you can’t pay the full amount at once. Offer an amount you can really pay every month.
- Ask for a new appointment — Use this if you can’t come. Send it before the appointment and add proof if you can (for example a doctor’s note).
- Dispute the claim (bestridande) — Use this if you don’t agree that you owe the money. Send it by the date in the letter — for Kronofogden you can also dispute online with BankID. Keep a copy.
